A new pair.

I have a new pair of babies.
The height, the colour and the angle of the foot is completely wonderful. I adore them.

Fashion and soon to be summer.

Wide awake reading about the history of fashion photography, a whole new dimension is opening up. Love it! Lots of reading and writing, some analyzing and then more of everything just mentioned. Not much of getting beauty sleep, but lots of coffee will keep my spirit alive for the rest of the week and yes, another thing, summer is knocking on the door, finally! Not only does my mood (hopefully) become better and more stabilized, my body also gets a little bit easier to cope with.

Saturday night, spending it with Vogue.

Spending my saturday night, looking at spreads and videos made by Mr Meisel, in my absolute favorite fashion magazine, Vogue Italia, is not that bad, is it? I think I could do worse.

Kitchen table.

My kitchen table (for the moment), with books and articles about marketing, brands, consumption and how we dress according to social rules, classes, fashion victims and the list goes on from there.

Now it's back to more studies and less sleep.

Studies and more studies.

My mind is currently occupied with studies, studies and more studies. From tomorrow, I will be living in my own little bubble, away from the real world. Parisian fashion, its couture and prét-a-porter, history and all of what you could imagine. Italian and the fascist regim with its influence on fashion and the reconstruction of it. Well, of course mass consumtion too and its growth. Happy happy, joy joy! Well, if I'm not being ironic or sarcastic, I truly love to study fashion. I just hate the examination.

See you on the other side!

The Ladies' Paradise.

Tonight, it is me and Émlie Zola! With a big cup of green tea with the lovely taste of jasmine!

I promise to get better, with more updates here.
But seriously, I don't have the time!

Dress, studies and christmas.

Tonight I'm creating my christmas dress, a sort of long top in purple wool and viscose, as I always have nothing to wear.  Then it's some editorial work between all the studies and a new years simple dress. That's the only time I have free. I'm all wrapped up analyzing fashion and masculinity in the wonderful Donnie Darko, very interesting that I can tell you.

Fashion & Movies.

This picture, taken by Nelson Evans of Mary Pickford, looking at stars, is adorable.
As I now begin to study fashion from a cinematic approach, makes this even more important to see how old moviestars dressed and how it reflects us, and how cinema and tv still plays a major part in dressing. What makes a movie star a fashion icon? I'm about to find out...

Dresses with light.

We all need som light when it now becomes darker. Although I love in the darkness, I appreciate and adore well done photography by the exceptional, TIM WALKER.

Adorned in red.

Pictures borrowed from:  Asos & Net á Porter.

I've always loved the colour red, nothing speaks to my eye as much as it does. Black, is a so called "standard" element in my wardrobe, therefore as a contrast colour - red - have always been in the forefront. All different shades, from dark burgundy to brighter ones. This fall my eye falls on the burgundy, rusty and also matte style of fabric.

Fashion is truly my passion!

I'll be going back to school to study fashion (link), fall to come. It's thrillingly exciting and I'm pretty nervous, but that is always a good thing. Fashion is and will always be a true passion.

Bondage and haute couture!

I'm still amazed by this photoseries, there is something so striking about these women in the photos, bondage and haute couture, a combination that seems to be both vulnerable and strong.  I find this work by Sam Taylor-Wood intruiging to look at, so take a glance yourself here.

No rest for the wicked!

Yesterday was so wonderful, I can't even try to describe how incredible it was, cupcakes and vivid colours! Creativity is like silk for my soul. I'll borrow three behind the scene pictures from Elva (the wonderful makeupartist)!

Can't wait to see the final of this one!

This is some sort of style I'll be working on this spring, cause it's finally kind of arrived!
Big glasses, layers, street chic is key, loove it!

In with the new!

Things for spring that I want or may already have... It's a bit of everything, but my mind is like that, so I'm just rolling with the flow! For the moment I'm cleaning out my wardrobe - again!

Prep for the new year part?

Prep for New Year? As always a big questionmark. As cold as it is now, it's not that fun running around almost naked, but that's another thing.
